The safest bet would be that Paladins would bring back Blessed Hammer-arguably the most well-known skill in all of Diablo 2. If the Paladin were to round out the class choices in Diablo 4, it seems exceedingly likely that it would bring a lot of its old repertoire along with it. While the idea of a Blood specialization was new to Diablo 4, within the Blood tree, many of the spells and ideas are derived from the Necromancer's original appearance in Diablo 2. The Necromancer in Diablo 4, for instance, maintains its core summoning abilities as well as familiar spells from the Bone and Curse skill trees. It was really weird to bring the Necro back in a standalone package in D3, but that was the result of an aborted expansion, I believe. Like before, I think this class will return. No double hand crossbows I guess, though. Rogue, Assassin, Demon Hunter, they’re all branches of the same tree, even if the name keeps changing. We’ll see what they think about bringing it back. Again, it’s a wholly unique style of play and was a big hit in Diablo 3. While I firmly believe Paladin will return, I think it may be a toss-up between Monk and Amazon for the second class. This is just the Sorcerer/Sorceress called by a different name. While Diablo 3 did get a Necromancer and have the Witch Doctor, I think there’s too much overlap between the two pet-based classes in D4 to see the Witch Doctor make a return over some of these others.
